Finding the Silver Linings in Term 4: A Season of Growth and Responsibility

As we enter Term 4, it’s natural to feel the momentum of the school year winding down. But this final term is far more than a countdown to summer, it’s a powerful opportunity for reflection, growth, and stepping up.

Term 4 offers students a chance to consolidate their learning, celebrate progress, and prepare for the transitions ahead. Whether it's moving into a new year level, taking on leadership roles, or simply finishing strong, this term encourages students to take ownership of their journey.

At the heart of Term 4 is the value of Responsibility. Students are encouraged to:

  • Reflect on their achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Set goals for the remainder of the year and beyond.
  • Support peers, showing leadership and kindness in everyday interactions.
  • Contribute to end of year events, demonstrating teamwork and pride in their school community.

For families, it’s a great time to talk with your child about what responsibility looks like at school, at home, and in relationships. These conversations help reinforce the idea that being responsible isn’t just about tasks, it’s about attitude, effort, and integrity.

Let’s celebrate the silver linings of Term 4 and support our children as they finish the year with purpose and pride.

VIP Day

On Thursday 23 October, we warmly welcome you into our classrooms. We love this annual event that allows families connect with their child’s learning, build relationships with teachers, and strengthen the home-school partnership. Classrooms will be open from 2:00 pm with a usual finishing time of 2:50 pm. Families are welcome to move between their children’s classrooms, but we ask that children stay in their designated space.

Family Reading at Home Session

At 1:00 pm, before the VIP afternoon, we will hold a family information session about reading at home.   This session will be facilitated by Vicki White, our Instructional Specialist, and provide information about how we teach reading and what you can do at home to support your child/ren.   It will take place in the theatre and is open to anyone but will be particularly targeted at our kinder – year 2 students. Please call the office if you’d like to book a spot, we’d love to see you there.
