Kinder A News!
In Kinder A we are exploring our local community. We are taking mini-excursions around Penguin to help us to learn about the broader community and support respectful interactions with people, places and environments.
On the last day of Term 3 we visited the local library. We met the librarians and enjoyed some stories alongside the best view from any library window in the state!
On Tuesday we took a 'Wonder Walk' through the main street of Penguin. We stopped to talk about all the places that we love to visit. From jars of vegemite for school lunches to crystals, mini quiches to posting letters, hot chips to moments of play and adventure, our community walk helped up to understand the important role each local place plays in supporting and enriching life in Penguin.
Our 'Wonder Walk' concluded with a play at one of the most popular places for 4 and 5 year olds in Penguin - The Pirate Ship Park!
We look forward to exploring more places in our local community and learning how we can care for and contribute to the town of Penguin.
